Has all you need i believe. Arabic/indian groceries. Prices are fair (mostly), i would prefer to see more meat sorts though.

I was in search of fresh Turmeric and Ginger. And here it was, in this lively little grocery. As I perused the aisles, my husband looked around and saw their on site halal meat market, a full section of frozen and refrigerated goods. There is a small but well stocked selection of fresh fruit and veg. I left happily with fresh ginger and turmeric in hand... as well as a large jar of Lupini beans and chocolate Halva!

I have to admit....I was a bit timid about making my first trip because I felt like I would have no idea what to purchase. I knew that I liked Jasmine and Basmati rice as well as Samosas and I knew I would be able to find lamb and goat. But what all of the other products I've never even heard of?! Rest assured that if I can get up the courage, so can you! This is a great International grocery that has just what you need to add some great flavor to your food. The standard American diet is unhealthy and boring after a while. I love cooking non-American foods so this is one of my "go-to" spots for spices and such. There is a large selection of foods, spices, meats, and candy. There is a produce section that has fresh fruits and vegetables, but overall it is small compared to other sections of the store. This is a good place for halal meat and the quality is great as well as the prices appropriate. I will definitely keep returning.

I spent 1.5 hours calling various grocery stores around Tallahassee looking for Orange Blossom Water. I received some SNL-worthy reactions from people who acted like I was asking if they carried wart of newt or hair of toad or something. Then I called Apna and 30 seconds later was on my way. I was surprised at how big it was because most non-corporate grocery marts in Tallahassee are super dupes tiny. Apna is beautifully organized and full of the most colorful and wonderful smelling grocery items. I only needed the Orange Blossom Water (which I found right away) but I couldn't help be drawn in by their produce and snack aisle. The produce is limited but gorgeous and organized thoughtfully and carefully. The snack aisle has every type of crunchy spicy South Asian snack you could ever imagine. I also bought some dolma that were the best canned dolma I've ever had and yea I ate the whole thing in one sitting. They also have tons of candy/chocolate that is impossible to find in Tally including Kinder chocolate and tons of British candy. The woman working the front counter was super warm and friendly and gave my daughter some candy which made her extremely happy. I can't wait to come back and try the prepared and frozen foods!

I fell in the door like a bull in a China shop. I unwisely tried to shop without a basket. My arms were filled to the brim from shopping only two aisles. I found the goat I had been seeking since I moved here. Got goat. Got Chief Curry powder, got life. They are opening a restaurant next door. The menu promises to be quite varied. Humph. Waste of time really. Just sell samosas. Samosas? What chu talkin' about? Best samosa I have EVER had. On the globe, not just Tallahassee. Spiced perfectly, good heat. The crunch on those samosas was a song to the heavens.

Been here twice. Vast selection and even a small "hot" bar at the register for some food items. Prices were good to fair. The layout was organized, but bulging at the seams. You can get quite a selection of meat, produce and other products here.

Do you "self-identify" as a Foodie? (I loathe the term, opting for the preexisting "Gourmand" but since that comes across haughty-as-hell in non-French parlance, I accept it.) Anyway - if you are - then I strongly urge you to come here. 1. They run their own slaughterhouse (Halal) so you're getting prime meat. Everything but the porcine variety. A whole lamb? Here's your place. 2. Top quality Saffron sold here. I paid $40 for one ounce. 3. Freshest produce. Look at my most recent pictures. 4. baklava at the counter. If you fancy yourself adept in the kitchen and a lover of food then you really owe it to yourself to check this place out once. Just once.
